Painted Wooden Barn Quilts

Barn Quilts are bright and bold public art pieces that celebrate agriculture and rural life. Even if you do not know how to sew a quilt, you can create a wonderful piece of quilt art for your home or to give as a unique gift. Laura will guide you through the process from beginning to completion. Choose a quilt pattern from several dozen offered or bring your own (instructor will evaluate the difficulty level). You’ll learn measuring, layout, taping and painting and you’ll leave with your own masterpiece. Be sure to wear painting clothes or a smock. BRING a BAG LUNCH and water bottle.

Finished size is 2’x2’.

Bring: 6”x 24” ruler, small scissors, large eraser, and blow dryer.

Optional – 6” square ruler, 3”X18” or similar sizes to mark your inner squares and triangles.

Optional to purchase from instructor: 2 D ring hangers and/or 2 vinyl-siding clips.
