Guitar Jamming Session 1YouthGuitar Jamming Sessions/Lessons (Ages 11-15)SESSION 1 Each session will give participants the opportunities to learn how to play guitar as well as simply jam alone or with others. All genres of music can be explored. Skills taught will range from the very basics, such as how to find notes on each fret; to how to play (and with a clear understanding of, instead of simply memorizing) pentatonic scales in any key; to how to read notes, thus memorize songs using published tablature and improvise. Participants will have the chance to play solo or in pairs and even groups, but without any pressure to perform. The environment is very safe and fun, thus conducive to creativity and musical exploration. SUPPLIES/MATERIALS NEEDED: Bring your own guitar or guitars, amps, cords and sheet (or electronic) music.
