Look closer, though, and you’ll see the essence of life itself. Every year, Ernestine bakes a cake and celebrates with her family on her birthday — a delicious ritual that unfolds onstage across 90 years of birthdays. We meet Ernestine and the people who sweeten her life every year on this day as she grows from 17 to 107 years old. Through glimpses of Ernestine’s life as the years go by, Birthday Candles tenderly explores motherhood, family, love, loss and finding your place in the universe. Home Alone Class (Ages 8 & up) Mentioning being home alone to your child can be a scary topic. Help them be more prepared by learning the basics of staying home alone and coming and going home safely. Topics include, appliance safety, responsibilities, house rules, first aid and more. Paint Like Bob Ross/Mountain Ridge Lake Create and take home a gorgeous 20" x 16” oil painting in this step by step class. Our instructor, Mike Tischendorf, is certified in the Bob Ross Method. The session provides a gorgeous landscape that may include mountains, sunsets, lakes and rivers. The relaxed approach will have you walking away with your own masterpiece to hand on your wall or give as a gift. All levels of painters, including beginners, are welcome. Punch Needle - Birdsong Bouquet (Skill level - Beginner) Wednesday, April 22 / 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. / $60 / Max 6 participants Come and ‘punch’ this lovely Birdsong Punch Needle just in time for Spring. In this class you will create this gorgeous punch needle frame project using rich yarns of blue and gold. The class includes everything to complete your project from start to finish, including the tool, monks cloth, frame, yarn, embellishments and instruction.

Roll Your Own Sushi (Grades 5-12) Learn how to make authentic sushi rolls using real sushi rice, seaweed (nori) and a variety of fillings like imitation crab, cooked shrimp, cucumber, avocado and cream cheese. After a demonstration on preparing rice, spreading it correctly on nori, and using a bamboo mat to roll tightly, you will create your own custom rolls.
