Babysitting ClassYouthBabysitting Training (Boys & Girls Ages 11 & up) Learn the basics of what you need to know and what every parent wants in a responsible babysitter. We will cover appropriate games and activities, telephone common sense, basic first aid, good decision making skills and much more. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of class. NOTE: Each child will need to bring a bag lunch, pencil and a doll or stuffed animal to class. Help them be more prepared by learning the basics of staying home alone and coming and going home safely. Topics include, appliance safety, responsibilities, house rules, first aid and more. You will feel confident and educated to stay home after attending this class. Ramen Bowl CreationYouthRamen Bowl Creation (Grades 5-12) Take a basic ramen packet and learn to turn it into a flavorful meal using add-ins like veggies, boiled eggs, chicken, sausage, tofu, teboki (rice cakes) and sauces. Roll Your own SushiYouthRoll Your Own Sushi (Grades 5-12) Learn how to make authentic sushi rolls using real sushi rice, seaweed (nori) and a variety of fillings like imitation crab, cooked shrimp, cucumber, avocado and cream cheese. After a demonstration on preparing rice, spreading it correctly on nori, and using a bamboo mat to roll tightly, you will create your own custom rolls. Snow TubingYouthSNOW TUBING at Mount Kato (Grades K and up) If you like to sled, you'll love snow tubing! Imagine the thrill of riding down a snowy long hill and then effortlessly riding your tube back up! Tubes are provided and helmets can be rented that day for $4. Please dress appropriately. MUST BE 42" tall. **Children ages 10 and under need an adult or a teenager with them. Monday, February 16 (No school for LSH) Depart: 12:45 p.m. LSH Middle school bus parking lot. (901 E. Ferry, St., Le Sueur) Return: 4:30 p.m. $30 per person, snow tubing and bus. **Parents must sign a Mount Kato Wavier** We need 20 people to go to make this trip happen.
